CarBahn Autoworks Crank Hub Kit replaces the Stock N55/S55 Crank Hub, preventing the timing gear from slipping and causing damage to the engine.

  • The keyed crank hub kit includes the Keyed hub, Crank bolt, Drill, drill fixture, and drill fixture bolt.

CarBahn Autoworks has developed a Crank Hub Kit for the N55/S55 designed to prevent the timing gear from slipping and spinning independently from the crank.

 

The Stock Crank Hub design allows the timing gear to spin independently from the crank causing the user to get the engine re-timed with new components and a lot of times causing the user to get a complete engine overhaul.

 

CarBahn Autoworks Crank Hub Kit replaces the stock Crank Hub and prevents the above from happening. The Crank Hub Kit requires drilling into the crank, the kit uses 2 dowel pins to index the crank hub in place allowing for no slip between the crank and the crank hub.

 

CarBahn Autoworks Crank Hub Kit uses modified BMW parts keeping the metallurgical properties of the crank hub the same as the OEM BMW parts hence maintaining the durability same as the OEM part.
