  • CarBahn Eccentric Bolt Blocker – BMW G8X M2, M3, M4

    When tracking a car with high performance suspension and high grip tires, the OEM eccentric bolt adjuster will become overloaded easily, causing it to slip. This means your vehicle's alignment will change with high performance use.

    ⚠️ This kit ONLY works in conjunction with CarBahn Toe Link Kit, CBF82-3123 and cannot be used with stock toe links!

    When tracking a car with a high performance suspension and R compound tires will often overload the OEM eccentric adjuster causing it to slip. This is especially true when you hit racing curbs at high speed on a track day.  

    When you install our rear toe link adjusters you no longer need the factory eccentric adjuster. This provides the opportunity to lock those adjusters so the alignment will stay put when driving on the track. We highly recommend this option when purchasing our toe link kit if you are going to partake in track days. 

    ⚠️ This kit ONLY works in conjunction with our Toe Link Kit, CBF82-3123 and cannot be used with stock toe links!

    The factory oil cooler does a pretty good job in stock form. However, once you start adding a lot of power and pushing the car in aggressive driving conditions, the factory systems start to show its limitations. As more and more owners have pushed the limits of their S58, CarBahn is proud to offer CSF’s upgrade to this unit. The CSF Engine Oil Cooler includes:

    When designing this new cooler, CSF wanted to ensure the best possible performance with factory like fitment. This oil cooler is a truly unique design using CSF’s AC Condenser Technology.     By keeping the factory mounting location and relative dimensions, the factory ducting, and shrouds are all reused with no modifications necessary. In addition, CSF added a removable/replaceable rock guard to keep the cooler safe.

    The CarBahn exhaust retains the OEM catalyst and electronic controller valve in the mufflers for a mellow sporty sound when driving normal without the drone normally associated with most aftermarket exhausts. When you go to WOT and the ecu will open the electronic valve increases flow for maximum power making a very sporty sound without being too loud.

    * The warranty is valid for U.S. and Canadian specification vehicles only. If your vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty, CarBahn products are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty. The manufacturer’s new car warranty is limited to 4 years or 50,000 miles (80,000 kilometers in Canada), starting from the date of first retail sale or the date the vehicle is first placed in-service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. CarBahn warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the CarBahn products were originally installed is sold. The warranty will repair or replace, without charge for parts or labor, the defective CarBahn component(s) as well as any original vehicle manufacturer component(s) directly affected by a CarBahn component, using new or authorized remanufactured parts.     The CarBahn engine is both stronger and less expensive than the BMW OEM factory engine. The S58 CarBahn engine is designed to improve the strength of your engine if you are tuning your car.     Design, Development, and Testing

    While the OEM Transmission Cooler is adequate for the G8X in stock form, it starts to come up a bit short on modified/tuned vehicles. Specifically ones that see heavy track/competition use. Transmission oil temperatures have a major impact on the shifting performance of your automatic transmission. If the fluid passes optimal temperatures you will start to see some delays in shifting. Sluggish shifting can be quite frustrating, but the real concern is the damage that can be done to the transmission when temperatures get too high. There are often cases where drivers don’t notice the change in shifting performance due to the gradual onset, but the damage is still being done slowly on a very expensive and important component.

    By changing from the OEM single core design to a dual core, CSF was able to increase the overall volume by 194%. This design offers a drastic improvement in heat dissipation and increases the fluid capacity of the coolers by ~94%. Utilizing CSF’s AC Condenser Technology, a 1-Row Super-High Pressure 16mm 9-Channel Microtube design optimizes oil flow and offers maximum surface area contact. These features combine to offer the best possible heat dissipation from the system.

     

    Rock Guard

    CSF knows the kind of punishment the front of a car can take on or off the track. The wrong bit of debris flying through the front grille can quickly punch a hole in a cooler. Because the Transmission cooler sits at the very front of the center cooling stack, it is quite vulnerable to damage. In addition, “open face” race style grilles have become quite popular on the G8X. These grilles can add to the risk of debris passing through.

    The Stock Rear Toe Link and Stock Rear Lower Trailing Arm are built with rubber bushings causing excessive deflection. During hard acceleration, these arms flex and allow the rear wheels to have excessive geometry changes. All this flex in the stock suspension links cause the car to be unstable when cornering and pushing on the limits of acceleration. CarBahn eliminates this flex by replacing the rubber bushings with Teflon coated machined steel rod ends.

    Most, if not all, of our competitors’ products wrap the rod end in a loose rubber boot, which not only allows to enter but also retain the water and debris which results in excessive noise and a short service life until the rod ends have to be replaced.
