Choose The Engine Program That Matches Your Build

CarBahn engine programs are built around how the vehicle will actually be used. Some platforms offer all three lanes, while others are focused on Street and Race only. In general, OEM+ is the most refined road-car path, Street is designed for higher-output performance builds, and Race is reserved for maximum-effort applications.

OEM+ Refined Road-Car Program

OEM+ Engines

Designed for strong street performance with the greatest emphasis on drivability and refinement

The most road-focused engine program in the lineup.

Best For Customers who want a stronger engine foundation for daily-driven or premium street builds without giving up the character of a well-sorted road car.

Warranty Position Road-car oriented warranty coverage when paired with the correct tune, torque target, and supporting components for the specific platform.

Investment Level Typically the most accessible engine program where offered.

Street High-Output Performance Program

Street Engines

Built for higher-output street performance with more headroom for boost, load, and sustained use

The most common path for serious street and dual-purpose builds.

Best For Customers targeting meaningful horsepower gains with upgraded turbo systems, stronger internals, and a build path that still supports real-world street use.

Warranty Position Road-car warranty coverage may still apply, but always depends on platform, tune, torque limits, and supporting hardware.

Investment Level Mid-tier to premium pricing depending on engine family and configuration.

Race Maximum-Output Competition Program

Race Engines

Configured for maximum cylinder pressure, sustained load, and the most aggressive power goals

The highest-capability engine program in the CarBahn lineup.

Best For Dedicated track, competition, or maximum-horsepower builds where outright durability and performance take priority over road-car compromise.

Warranty Position Materials and workmanship only. Race engines are intended for competition or extreme-output use and should be serviced accordingly.

Investment Level Highest overall investment level with the most aggressive internal components, machining, and supporting requirements.

Program availability varies by engine family. Some platforms offer OEM+, Street, and Race, while others are intentionally focused on Street and Race only. Final recommendations should always be based on platform, fuel type, turbo system, intended use, and overall build strategy.

Engine Warranty & Additional Information

OEM+ & Street Engines

Road-Car Programs
Coverage: 2 years / 24,000 miles when applicable

OEM+ and Street engines are designed for road-car use and may qualify for 2 years / 24,000 miles of coverage when paired with the appropriate CarBahn tune, torque target, and supporting components for the specific engine family.

What Coverage Depends On:

  • Running a CarBahn-approved tune where required
  • Remaining within the recommended torque limits for that engine program
  • Using the proper fuel system, turbo system, and supporting hardware for the application
  • No other vehicle components causing the premature failure

Important:

  • Some platforms offer OEM+, Street, and Race, while others are Street / Race only
  • Coverage may be reduced to materials and workmanship only if torque limits are exceeded
  • Failures caused by non-approved tuning, fueling, turbo systems, or supporting components are not covered
  • Final warranty determination is made by CarBahn based on the application and failure analysis

Race Engines

Competition / Extreme Output
Coverage: Materials & workmanship only

Race engines are designed for competition or maximum-output applications where cylinder pressure, load, and overall operating stress exceed the expectations of a typical road-car program.

What’s Included:

  • Materials and workmanship defects on the initial engine build
  • Precision machining, assembly validation, and component-fit processes

What’s Not Covered:

  • Failures caused by tuning, detonation, calibration error, or fuel system issues
  • Damage related to boost pressure, RPM, heat cycles, load, or competition stress
  • Failures caused by turbo systems, ignition systems, or other supporting components
  • Normal service, wear, or rebuild intervals associated with race-oriented use

Race engines should be inspected and serviced periodically based on runtime, mileage, and operating conditions.
