Does the controller require an ECU unlock?
No. The CarBahn Performance Controller is a plug-and-play module that works with the factory ECU. These Stage 1 and Stage 2 controller configurations do not require an ECU reflash or bench unlock.
What is included in the Stage 2 Power Package?
The Stage 2 package includes the CarBahn Stage 2 Performance Controller, CarBahn heat exchanger and two high-flow air filters. The supporting hardware is included in the package price; installation labor is additional.
Why is the heat exchanger required for Stage 2?
More power puts greater demand on the charge-air cooling system. The CarBahn heat exchanger helps manage intake temperatures and maintain consistent performance. It is included in the Stage 2 Power Package and required for Stage 2 Factory Matching Warranty eligibility.
What does the Factory Matching Warranty do?
It provides separate CarBahn coverage for eligible engine and powertrain repairs under CarBahn’s warranty terms. Eligibility, duration, mileage limits and exclusions apply; purchasing a controller does not automatically include coverage. Select the warranty for your chosen stage and confirm your vehicle qualifies. Review warranty details →
Can I install the controller myself?
Yes. You can install the controller yourself or have an authorized CarBahn dealer install it. Follow the supplied instructions and select the correct map for your fuel. Stage 2 also requires installation of the included cooling hardware and filters. Optional warranty is available with either installation choice, subject to CarBahn’s terms.

A complete cat-back stainless steel exhaust system for the new G9X M5, engineered to bring out a deeper, more purposeful tone without sacrificing everyday drivability. By retaining the OEM catalyst and electronic valve control, it stays mellow during normal cruising and opens up with a more aggressive note under throttle.
