CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC):

The CPC is a plug and play ECU that increases boost pressure in turbocharged cars to dramatically increase HP and Torque. The unit has selectable maps through a Bluetooth app on your smartphone.

These maps are designed to accommodate different octane fuels for additional increased performance. You can choose between 91, 93, and 100 Octane.

As with all CarBahn products, an optional powertrain warranty can be purchased.

If you want to trade your CarBahn Performance Controller in for software in the future, there is a $500 upgrade fee, and if you purchased the warranty, it is transferable to the software at no additional charge!

Doing it yourself:

A note on self-tuning tools. There are now programs available that you can buy to tune your car yourself. Many of these tools come with canned programs. Be careful as tuning a high output engine requires tremendous knowledge and experience to extract maximum power without damage.

Emissions legality:

A note on downpipes (removing the catalyst). We have run back-to-back dyno runs with the cat on and off, and the power gain is much smaller than most people claim, usually around 11hp. It is difficult to get your car its required emissions test without a catalyst, and it is illegal.

High boost with stock engine:

We have seen many damaged engines as a result of making too much power with a stock engine. While modern engines are very reliable, it is easy to add large turbochargers and water methanol injection and break the engine. On the F9X, maximum safe power on a stock engine is 800 lb-ft flywheel torque. CarBahn makes high-performance engines designed to handle more power. More information is available on this website.

*Registration with CarBahn Autoworks at the time of purchase is required to maintain matching warranty coverage. CarBahn Autoworks reserves the right to deny warranty program enrollment under certain conditions. Please contact us prior to purchase if you have any questions.

*Warranty valid on U.S. and Canadian specification vehicles only. If your vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty, CarBahn Autoworks' products are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty. The manufacturer’s new car warranty is limited to 4 years or 50,000 miles (80,000 kilometers in Canada), commencing on the date of first retail sale or the date the vehicle is first placed in service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. CarBahn Autoworks' warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the CarBahn Autoworks products were originally installed is sold. The warranty will, without charge for parts or labor, repair or replace the defective CarBahn Autoworks' component(s), as well as any original vehicle manufacturer’s component(s) that may have been directly affected by a CarBahn Autoworks component, using new or authorized remanufactured parts. The decision to repair or replace said parts is at the sole discretion of CarBahn Autoworks. Parts for which replacements are supplied under this limited warranty become the property of CarBahn Autoworks. In all cases, a reasonable period must be allowed for warranty repairs to be completed.

If your vehicle is outside of the vehicle manufacturer's new car limited warranty, for two (2) years from the original purchase date of the CarBahn Autoworks product, CarBahn Autoworks will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any defective CarBahn Autoworks component. This warranty does not include reimbursement for repairs to any original vehicle manufacturer’s component(s) that may have been affected by a CarBahn Autoworks component.

Warranty exclusions:

Return shipping charges, towing charges, rental car fees, damage to a component or assembly due to the installation of replacement parts with specifications that differ in any material respect from the original vehicle manufacturer’s or CarBahn Autoworks parts, damage resulting from the unauthorized modification of a CarBahn Autoworks part or assembly, damage resulting from the use of other manufacturer’s products in conjunction with CarBahn Autoworks' products or systems, damage to the clutch due to power shifting or abuse, brake rotor warp, friction materials, maintenance services and parts when replaced during maintenance such as spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, engine tune-up parts, replacement of filters, coolant and refrigerant, mechanical adjustments or repairs which result from normal wear and tear, drive-belts, light bulbs, damage due to the failure to perform maintenance services at the specified intervals or in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or CarBahn Autoworks' product instructions, damage attributable to negligence or abuse, improper installation, improper treatment or treatment contrary to the instructions in the owner’s manual from the original vehicle manufacturer or CarBahn Autoworks' product instructions, engine damage resulting from alteration of CarBahn Autoworks' original boost pressure, damage resulting from the use of improper or contaminated fuel, damage occurring through corrosion resulting from weak or improper coolant, damage to a CarBahn Autoworks component as a result of a collision or improper collision damage repairs, any vehicle operated in any competitive event or subjected to aggressive track conditions, custom-designed competition parts, damages resulting from loss of time, inconvenience or loss of the use of the vehicle, damage resulting from environmental influences, flood, accident, fire damage, or road salt corrosion, re-manufactured or refurbished products or components (these products are clearly identified as refurbished and are warranted for the period specified for that particular product).
